Presenter, writer, producer, comedian – gun to the head moment, which one is your true love?
Depends on who’s holding the gun.If my agent then whichever makes most money. Ditto my wife. If it’s me, then presumably career on skid row
Gail Porter first came to public awareness via her television presenting work on such programmes as “Fully Booked”, “The Movie Chart Show” and “Live and Kicking”. She shot to even greater heights after she began to pose for photos for mens magazines such as FHM, including a shot of her nude from behind that was beamed onto the side of the Houses of Parliament as a PR stunt.
Since 2005 Porter has suffered from Alopecia causing her to lose much of her hair, which she refused to hide with a wig but instead became a prominent figure in raising awareness of the condition. Her autobiography was published in 2007.
Wikipedia says you tried to join Blue Peter? True? Who got the job instead of you?
I went for an audition for blue peter but I didn’t make it. Quite glad as it was a bit too goodie goodie for me.
Iain Lee had his big breakthrough in Channel Four’s 11 O’Clock Show back in the day, the show that also featured Ali G, Ricky Gervais and Mackenzie Crook among others.
Since C4’s early morning programme R.I.S.E. finished, which Iain co-presented, Iain has become a mainstay on radio stations such as LBC, Virgin and now Absolute Radio where he presents a break from non-stop music with an irreverent phone-in show (he recently wrestled a listener).
Iain’s occasional podcast Shindiggery can be gotten via his website iainlee.co.uk/
A Silver Sony award, a BBC2 sitcom on its way – is this the resurgence of Iain Lee on our radio and tv sets?
Hardly. The Scum Also Rises starts filming this week for BBC2. It’s not a starring role. I’m a regular but it’s a small part.
